Mixtvision Verlag started its publishing activities with a program of picture-, children’s- and young adult books in 2006. Mixtvision aims to awaken the joy of reading by developing new and unconventional book projects, such as the poetic non-textual picture book series, “Narrative Pictures”; and the interactive, “No Book,” which appeals to non-readers and picks up children and young people from the internet. Furthermore, Mixtvision always dares to bridge the gap to other media. Individual topics will be further developed using film and digital technology cross- and transmedially. In 2009, Mixtvision Verlag was awarded the Bavarian Small Publisher Award which is granted by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.
