Thais Mesquita was born in Brazil in 1989 and has lived in Germany for several years. She studied fine arts in her home country and media art and design at Bauhaus University-Weimar and has been working as a freelance illustrator, designer and 2D artist since 2011. She likes to experiment with different materials, textures and styles to achieve surprising results. Jon and the Fourth Cinnamon Bun is her first picture book published by Mixtvision Verlag.
