All Dance! - A Mouse Whirls Through Tap Dance and Ballet

Exciting mix of history, factual information and hands-on tips
Little mouse Marie loves to dance. When she wins dance lessons from the famous dancer Momo Mouse at a competition, she quickly realises that she wants to take part with her friend Pepe! But then Pepe climbs into a sports bag at the bus stop and is carried onto a bus, which speeds off shortly afterwards. How is Marie supposed to find Pepe again? The only clue is the black shoes with metal plates under the soles that were in the bag. Could they be dancing shoes? To find out, Marie searches all the places in the city where people dance. Maybe the two of them will make it in time for the dance competition …
With lots of exciting and age-appropriate factual information:
Why do we dance – what happens to your body? – Why do even American football players practise ballet? – Do animals dance? – Do robots have a sense of rhythm? – Who invented the pointe shoe? – What is a musical? – What folk dances are there around the world? – Is it called breakdancing or breaking? – How do I find the right dance school?
With beautiful illustrations, fun hands-on ideas and lots of exciting facts, All Dance! awakens the joy of movement and lets children immerse themselves in the diverse world of dance.
