Katharina Bendixen, born in Leipzig in 1981, studied book science and Hispanic studies in Leipzig and Alicante and lives in Leipzig with her family. She writes books for children and adults. Her texts have been awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, including the Kranichsteiner Literature Promotion Prize (2014), the Heinrich Heine Scholarship (2017) and a working scholarship from the German Literature Fund (2020). In 2022, her first novel for young people, Tara’s Eyes, was published by Mixtvision.
