Fire Fire Monster – A Picture Book

A huge fire is raging in the forest! And that’s not all: the fire gives birth to a monster! Soon the monster breaks into the house of the four brothers, who fear for their lives. As different as the four brothers are, they are transformed into four different animals, and each reacts in their own way: the hare flees, the tiger fights, the tortoise seeks shelter in its shell, and the fox negotiates with the monster. But they will have to learn that they can only overcome the threat by working together.

Eric & Edgar Schwarz have written this fairy tale about the four very different brothers – which can be read as a parable about coming to terms with trauma – in verse. Eric Schwarz has illustrated the story in the style of paper cut-outs (using analogue cut-outs) and has thus created an enchanting shadow theatre.
