Mac Stink and the Totally Crazy Caber Toss

Maec Mief Baumstammwerfen

Between bagpipes and flying tree trunks: the second case for the Scottish sheep Mac Stink

There are not only bagpipe players at the Highland Games, the traditional Scottish folk festival: a thief has stolen the wallets of the entire Olifant family!

Luckily, sheep Mac Stink and his friend, sheepdog Bonnie, have come along as mascots. Following an adventurous chase they are able to catch the thief and finally even receive a medal from the Queen herself—even though Mac Sink would rather have eaten the flowers on the royal hat.

“A delightful, cheerful and exciting children’s book that sparks a thirst for adventure, imparts cultural knowledge and, at the same time, delights with a lovable animal character who immediately wins your heart. Ideal for young readers and for anyone who enjoys being enchanted by Scottish charm.” – Sabine Selig, AJuM, the GEW’s Working Group on Youth Literature and Media

“I read the book together with my nephews and we had a brilliant time. The funny scenes involving Mac Stink in particular – who stumbles his way through the story with plenty of heart, charm and a good dose of sheepish wit – had us all in stitches. My nephews thought it was absolutely hilarious, and I had great fun reading it aloud too.” – Tinkerbelle, Lovelybooks
