Jens Soentgen was born in 1967, studied Chemistry, earned a doctorate in Philosophy and taught at universities in
Germany and Brazil. He has been in charge of the Centre of Environmental Science at the University of Augsburg since 2002. Both of his books have been nominated for the German Youth Literature Award.
