Scientist and writer Marie Miranda Cruz grew up in the Philippines, and her work reflects her multicultural roots, both in the country of her birth and her adopted California. Her debut novel, Everlasting Nora (Tor 2018), received starred reviews from Kirkus and SLJ and was a JLG selection, SLJ Day of Dialog selection, and BEA Buzz Pick for Middle Grade. Marie now lives in Los Angeles, California, with her family and a tank of fighting fish.
