Julia Willmann, born in 1973, writes for children and adults. Her texts were published in anthologies and literary magazines before her debut novel was es ist (fontis Verlag) was published in 2017. The work on Rascha und die Tür zum Himmel [Rascha and the Door to Heaven] was supported by the Amanda Neumayer Scholarship in 2018. In addition to her work as a writer, Julia Willmann is active in the film industry, developing series and films for cinema and television. She lives with her family in Berlin.
