Lorenz Pauli & Kathrin Schärer
Fur and Feather

The dog is all agog, and the hen is suffering from stage fright, too. The performance is about to start. They’re acting in their own story!
It goes like this:
The hen dreams of pirate treasure and the dog of a strong friend. They meet by chance, helping each other out – and after lots of adventure, it becomes clear to them that their friendship is the fulfilment of all their wishes. Thunderous
applause!
The dog and the hen are happy. The audience has realised: Theatre is all about real life.

“I really enjoyed this picture book. The special structure of the cleverly incorporated frame story and inner story of a true story, the truly appealing, detailed illustrations and the language, which is both special and simple, make for a reading experience that every reader is sure to enjoy.” –Arbeitsgemeinschaft Jugendliteratur und Medien
“A picture book about friendship, with a lot of heart and almost photorealistic illustrations. Original, unique and very touching. Highly recommended reading!” – Hamburger Morgenpost
