Bernadette Vermeij was born in Woerden in the Netherlands in 1979. She works for the Dutch foundation for children who are deaf or hard of hearing in Amsterdam. She is particularly interested in the promotion of language development in children. Let’s Build a Hut! is her first children’s book.
