Andrea Weisbrod, born in Koblenz in 1966, did her doctorate in history on the political role of mistresses in the 18th century. In 2000, she moved with her family from Hamburg to Paris and gained some experience in journalism, after which she wrote her first novels and children’s books. As a freelance author and teacher of German, she has since drawn inspiration from this fast-paced city together with her husband, two daughters and the family poodle.
