Emil doesn’t like broccoli, can spit cherry pits really far and can do puzzles like no one else: Emil will soon be seven years old. He lives with his mum, his dad no longer lives with them. Emil visits him sometimes and then they go on fantastic excursions. One day, a strange man lies in mum’s bed in the morning. What does he want? Why does mum need a new man, when he’s about to turn seven already and they get one fabulously by themselves? There are disappointments, arguments and tears and it takes a while before Emil realises that the new man will not take his mum away from him and that he is a really nice guy after all.
