Anton truly loves the fact that his mum is an author and that she writes books for children. But sometimes it is quite tiring, too. After all, her latest story seems to be quite harmless at first glance. After all, what could possibly happen at a porcupine’s birthday party to which a lion has been invited? But before the party can start, someone has to remove a thorn from the lion’s paw. No problem, says Anton’s mum, and quickly invents an animal to help. Unfortunately, it’s not working out. And all the other animals have their own problems that prevent them from doing what Anton’s mum wants them to do.

How on earth is this complicated story ever going to come to an end? An elephant with a knot in its trunk, a monkey afraid of heights, a hydrophobic zebra … This cannot continue and Anton gets ready for action …
